Artist Statement

MERTHEWIZ (Merick Chong) is an independent Singaporean toy designer that incorporates fun and playful elements into characters that spark conversations and creativity.  He aims to create a world of play, by referencing pop culture and art. With the release of his first character, BEEFY BOI, at a designer toy convention in the heart of Singapore, POP TOY SHOW, and with a subsequent appearance at Singapore Comic Con, he will be releasing more into the BEEFY BOI UNIVERSE, that embodies the worlds of cows and gym with uniqueness and self-expression.
